Scottish Rite and Cook Children’s Hospitals will get a “Special Delivery”
on Valentines Day

90.9 KCBI will deliver over 10,000 Valentine cards to kids at Scottish Rite and Cook Children’s Hospitals for the annual KCBI “Valentines for Kids” event this Thursday!

DALLAS, February 12/KCBI/-- This Thursday, Valentines Day, 90.9 KCBI will continue an annual tradition of spending the day at two local children’s hospitals, personally delivering hand-made and store bought cards to young patients and their families. For several years now, KCBI listeners have been invited to make or buy Valentine cards for this ‘special delivery,’ and this year KCBI has collected over 10,000 cards since January! Listeners write the cards, knowing that they will be hand delivered to a sick child. KCBI’s on-air personalities will be handing out the cards and treats to the kids and their families, as well as presenting a special puppet show in the lobby.

Here is the line-up for Thursday’s “Valentines for Kids” event:

9:00AM: Depart KCBI studios for Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas.

9:30 – 10:30AM: Hand out “Valentine bags” to children and families in the lobby area.

10:30AM: Puppet show for the kids and families. Depart at approximately 11:45 - grab lunch and head to Fort Worth to Cook Children’s Hospital.

*Arrive at Cook’s by 1:00PM
1:30PM: Puppet show in chapel - staff will invite patients and families who are able to leave their rooms. Distribute “Valentine bags” in rooms, ER, and clinic areas. Depart hospital at approximately 3:00PM.
