People don’t know what to expect when I walk out onto
the stage with just my guitar,” Keith says. “It’s gratifying to watch the audience’s reaction when they see my guitar used in non-traditional ways.”

Simply put, Keith’s music will enchant you with the unexpected. You’ll be amazed with the passion and heart he shares on stage. The instrumental music varies from classically derived melodies to sizzling Spanish to bouncy blues. The songs of Sacred Dance don’t need lyrics to capture his rich perceptions of heaven.

Keith Cooper is one of the purest guitar players you will ever hear. We have never seen a guitarist with as much energy and passion as Keith. His personal testimony will give hope to any audience he plays for.

Dude, this guy is insane. I can't believe that he is such a great player! What mastery of the instrument and such perfect tone, flawless technique and melody.
- Todd Hooper, Brentwood Benson Music Publishing

It's awesomely genius!!! Please do another CD, we've almost worn this one out. We have a new favorite guitar player - Keith!
Todd Christopher, Christian Family Radio

"It is a rare talent to take a piece of hand carved wood and six strings and create such a lush, full sound."
-Reid Ribble, Reel Loud Records President

"Keith has been opening for Denver and the MIle High Orchestra. His performances truly energize the crowd. It is amazing how he brings the acoustic guitar to life."
-Denver Bierman, band leader for Denver and the Mile High Orchestra

New Jersey native Keith Cooper catches the music industry off-guard with his stellar new CD entitled Truth of the Matter.  Full of a mix of arrangements of familiar hymns to his own incredible guitar pieces, Cooper shows he is a classic in the making from the songwriting side and shares his testimony through music on a personal side.

This disc is as good or better than anything I own on Windham Hill.  The first track, "Beside Still Waters", is just moving for lack of better words.  The title and last track, "Truth of the Matter", is another standout.  It took me several listens to this disc before I could really just focus in on the songs without getting lost in the trip Cooper takes you on.  It's hard to believe there is only one guitarist playing on many tracks.  I've seen Cooper live and the disc lacks little from the passion and heart he shares on stage.  If you're into solo guitar works and/or instrumental works, I promise this one will be one of your new favorites.

Testimony

I was raised in New Jersey by two loving parents who encouraged me in music and my walk with Christ.  My mother led me to Christ when I was 8 years old and I started to become very serious about playing the guitar when I was 13.  My first performances began by playing acoustic guitar solos during the church offering as well as playing with the praise band.

As I continued to study the guitar I developed what appeared to be a cancerous tumor in my hip.  Later, this tumor miraculously diminished and somehow turned into a tumor in my right hand that same year.  The surgeons told us that I was going to lose the feeling and use in my hand -and that I had a 5% chance of having any mobility in my fingers.  Talk about praying and having to give it up to God!  After surgery, and many weeks of painful recovery, we discovered that my hand was completely healed.  The doctors did not have to cut any tendons or important ligaments which would have destroyed the gift God had given me.

After this experience I knew that God wanted to use my craft of playing the guitar for His Kingdom!  In the Word of God Jesus says that we are to use our gifts for the edification of the church.  He reminds us in Mathew 25 that we have a responsibility to invest our talents to please Him.

My endeavor is that my life and my guitar solos would be a gift back to God.  My hope is that He would continue to change me to reflect Him.  Although I am still imperfect, I continue to cling to His redeeming work on the cross.  May He be glorified in every note!
